CMTO's OSCE & MCQ Examination Preparation & Review
College of Massage Therapists of Ontario require Massage Therapy graduates to pass the following to become Registered Massage Therapists: (1) OSCE (Observed Structured Clinical Examination) consists of seven stations, such as Therapeutic Exercises, Interview, Assessments 1 and 2, Consent and Treatment Plan, Treatments, and Techniques. This is an in-class 12-day review sessions, with mock-exam practice. (2) MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) Examination that will cover Anatomy, Physiology, Techniques, Treatments, Therapeutic Exercises, different systems of the body, and many more. This is a hybrid class (online and in-class).
Cranial-Sacral Therapy Techniques
Continuing education certification workshop for healthcare practitioners. Learn the techniques on how to release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance. The instructor will guide your hands in releasing stresses and strains absorbed by the body that had affected the central nervous system, and allow the entire body to relax and self-correct. The workshop will cover basic and advanced Cranio-sacral therapy, including intra-oral techniques. Learning the techniques will benefit patients with, but not limited to chronic pain, spinal cord injuries, headaches, ADD/ADHD, autism, motor coordination impairments, post-concussion symptoms, CNS disorders, TMJ syndrome, PTSD, and many more. This is a 4-day in-class workshop.
Visceral Manipulation Techniques (principal/ advanced)
Continuing education certification workshop for healthcare practitioners. "Viscera" relates to the internal organs of the body. Level 1 or Principal techniques will cover the liver, kidneys, intestines, diaphragm, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, spleen. Level 2 or Advanced techniques will cover organs of thorax (lungs, heart), and pelvis (male and female), visceral emotional release and visceral listening. Visceral manipulation are gentle manual therapy techniques that helps the body's ability to release restrictions within and unhealthy compensations that cause pain and/or organ dysfunction. During the workshop, your hands will be guided to feel for the altered motion of the viscera and restrictive patterns throughout the body, to find the source of the body's problem, and re-establish the body's ability to adapt and restore body's health. The in-class workshops are 4-days for each levels.
TMJ Treatment Techniques
Learn the techniques on how to treat the Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) using both soft tissue therapy and joint mobilization. This is an in-class 1-day workshop /tutorial.
LASER (Bioflex) Therapy Certification
Certification workshop on how to properly operate the Bioflex machine and apply the therapy to your patients. This is a 4-day in-class workshop /tutorial.
Myofascial Cupping Therapy
Certification on how to use cups to reduce any myofascial restriction in the human body, and improve circulation. This is a 1-day in-class workshop or tutorial.
Soft Tissue Therapy
Learn about GSM (General Swedish Massage) as well as techniques on finding and treating TRIGGER POINTS that causes pain in the muscles and neurological conditions. This is a hybrid class or tutorial (online and in-class). Review classes such as Massage Therapy Techniques, Massage Therapy Treatments, Muscle Palpation, and more are also available.
TMJ Treatment Techniques
Learn the techniques on how to treat patients with TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) disorders. Techniques include both extra-oral and intra-oral treatments. This is a one day in-class certification workshop or tutorial.
LASER Therapy Certification course
Get certified as Laser Therapist by learning anatomy, assessments, and how to treat different pathologies using LASER Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT). This is a hybrid certification course (online and in-class).
